چکیده

Background: Russia is one of the largest peanut importing countries. At same time, in south country, several zones meet requirements for cultivation. It possible to increase yield existing varieties by using modern biotechnology methods, particular agrobacterial transformation. known from literature data that different genotypes and explants various sources react differently vitro regeneration. Successful regeneration depends on correct protocol, including both type composition media promoting growth induction. Objectives: a technique obtaining regenerants culture. Materials methods: Eight accessions VIR collection origin were used work. Embryonic grown Murashige-Skoog medium supplemented with hormone 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D). Results conclusions: As result assessing regenerative ability peanuts 2,4-D at concentration 2 g/L, differences callus formation revealed accessions. Those catalog numbers k-793, k-2054 k-2055 did not form organogenic calli, while k-698 k-1987 showed highest percentage embryonic explants.

Nuclear genome stability in long-term cultivated callus lines of Fagopyrum tataricum (L.) Gaertn

Long-term cultivated Fagopyrum tataricum (L.) Gaertn. (Tartary buckwheat) morphogenic and non-morphogenic callus lines are interesting systems for gaining a better understanding of the mechanisms that are responsible for the genetic stability and instability of a plant tissue culture. In this work, we used histological sections and transmission electron microscopy to identify and describe the m...

Lipids, proteins, phenolic composition, antioxidant and antibacterial activities of seeds of peanuts (Arachis hypogaea l) cultivated in Tunisia.

Fatty acid composition of peanut seed oil in four varieties cultivated in Tunisia showed that linoleic (C18:2), oleic (C18:1) and palmitic (C16) acids account for more than 84% for Chounfakhi and Massriya and for more than 85% of the total fatty acids of Trabilsia and Sinya seed oil respectively. Seed oil contents were significantly different (P ≤ 0.05) and did not exceed 48%. The study of tota...

Efficient callus formation and plant regeneration are heritable characters in sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L.)

BACKGROUND Obtaining dedifferentiated cells (callus) that can regenerate into whole plants is not always feasible for many plant species. Sugar beet is known to be recalcitrant for dedifferentiation and plant regeneration. These difficulties were major obstacles for obtaining transgenic sugar beets through an Agrobacterium-mediated transformation procedure. The sugar beet line 'NK-219mm-O' is a...

Callus formation and plant regeneration from callus through somatic embryo structures in Cymbidium orchid

Embryogenic calli were induced from longitudinally bisected segments of protocorm-like bodies (PLBs) of Cymbidium Twilight Moon ‘Day Light’, a hybrid orchid, on modified Vacin and Went medium [Bot. Gaz. 110 (1949) 605] supplemented with 1-naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA) or 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) alone or in combination with N-phenyl-N′-1,2,3-thiadiazol-5-yl urea (TDZ) within 1 mont...

Variation in genotypic responses and biochemical analysis of callus induction in cultivated wheat.

Wheat is notorious for callus induction, which is a major hindrance in direct gene transfer and consequently for genetic improvement programs. In order to provide a successful platform for gene transformation, good callus quantity and quality is important. We investigated the variation in callus induction capabilities of Pakistani wheat cultivars and measured the reducing sugar content in the i...
